It's
true. We're all in the same boat! We all want to be happy
and live a life that feels good. Truth
is, some people find this harder than others, because they've
been through some tough times.
|
I'm
Neil Fellowes. In 1995 I had an accident where I fell
14ft head first and had 9 stitches, two broken bones,
concussion and lots of cuts and bruises. Weeks off work,
months of blackouts... and all at a time when my marriage
hit the rails.
Then
in 1997 I entered a relationship and experienced domestic
violence. When I entered the relationship I was 12st
and athletic.
I
had money in the bank, an investment property, was financially
secure and able to do whatever work I pleased. |
By
the time I left the relationship I was obese - 20st 7lbs to
be exact - and struggling with a back injury. All the money
had gone, along with the investment property and all the financial
security.
I'd
lost my self-belief, had little control over my life and was
dependent on the help and goodwill of my family and the state.

"Neil
has an amazing strength to be able to stand
up and talk about something that affected
him and his family so much. He's emotive
and from the heart."

Arnold
Schwarzenegger says you have strength...
The
Austrian bodybuilder, actor and now governor in the US says,
"Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go
through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength."
So,
like me you have strength...
For
me, my big troubles ended just over 7 years ago. Today,
I've moved on. I share a great relationship with someone
who understands me, have a great deal of fun and who I share
masses of mutual respect with.
I've
worked on helping my children overcome what they witnessed
and am helping hem towards becoming who they want to be.
They're both doing well and I'm very proud of them.
I
live in a fabulous place, in Somerset, and love the surroundings
and I work at helping people overcome their past, present
and future challenges - which is allvery awesome and rewarding.
All
proof that life can better...
And
I'd like to help you do that too, if you'll
let me...

" As
a charismatic individual with the ability
to inspire Neil has a formidable talent. I
came to the talk because I felt that my life
had begun to resemble a disaster movie and
my response to it was passive... I was able
to relate strongly to many of the themes aired
during the talk and it gave me the motivation
to start to change my way of thinking."

ps
please not I'm not a trained counsellor, and my material isn't
based on counselling techniques. Who I am, is someone who
has been through challenging life experiences. and
come out the other side of that and made my life
better than it has ever been. I share from experience,
not a textbook.
